Attending Horse Shows

Red Fox Creek Farm's mission is to have all our riders meet their showing goals.  We strive to create a friendly, family-oriented riding environment to have all our riders meet their goals on our horses or on our client's own mounts. 

Showing Schedule:

Red Fox Creek Farm will be attending on average one to two show a month depending on the time of year.  Most horse shows are local horse shows with the exception of the Devon and Upperville Horse Shows.  

Horse Show Services:

• Show Instruction Fee:
  
  • $50/per day per child
    
• Grooming Expenses:  
  
  • Amount split among horse/rider combinations per day.
    
    • Horse grooming and washing fee $50 per day.
    • Non-local shows $50 per day for each trainer/groom plus hotel and travel expenses.
      
• Schooling Ride at Shows by professional:
  
  • $35 per warm-up or exercise
    
• Show Rides by a professional:  $20/class
• Horse Fee for Shows:
     $70 per day

  • ​​Mane Pulling:  $25
    
  • Trimming:  $25
    
  • Body Clipping:  $180
    
  • Trace Clipping:  $85
    
• Show Braiding:
  
  • Manes: $55
    
  • Tails: $30
    
• Medicine Application:  $10 plus cost of medication
  
• Transportation/Hauling
  
  • Local Hauling:  $.75 per mile & $45 minimum (split among all riders)
    
  • Long Distance Hauling: $1.00 per mile (split among all riders)
    
• Equine Sale Commissions
  
  • Purchase/Sale and Leases:  10% of purchase price/lease ($500 minimum charge)
